Custom Matchbooks, require careful handling during packaging and shipping. Ensuring that matchbooks arrive at their destination safely, without damage or ignition risk, is crucial. This guide will walk you through the best practices for packaging and shipping matchbooks to maintain their quality and safety.

Can You Take Matchbooks on a Flight?

You're generally allowed to take 1-2 matchbooks per person on a flight, but of course, check with your specific carrier first. If using them as wedding matches or for an event, you can ask any of your guests flying to the event if they can also take 1-2 with them. This way you'll have enough for photos and scene setting. After getting back from your wedding, you can distribute them to your guests. They'll cherish them all the same weather they got matches at the event or after since it's a keepsake for memories.

Can You Ship Matches UPS or Fedex?
Sturdy Packaging: Matchbooks must be packaged in a strong outer box with sufficient cushioning to prevent movement or friction that could cause ignition. The packaging must also protect the contents from moisture and external damage..
Inner Packaging: The matchbooks should be placed in individual containers or protective layers within the outer packaging to further minimize the risk of accidental ignition.
Sealing: The package must be securely sealed with strong adhesive tape, and the packaging materials should be designed to contain any potential leakage or spills.

In Conclusion: Can You Ship Matches?

Yes you can, but only 1 or 2 matchbooks via air, if packed safely. And yes via UPS or Fedex, if shipped directly from your matchbook supplier to your final destination. If shipping on your own, just make sure the package is marked as Hazardous Materials.
